Mônica Lóss (b. 1978) was born in Soledad, Brazil. She currently lives and works in California. Lóss received a BFA in - Design and Plastics for Visual Arts (2003) and an MA in Education (2007) from the Federal University of Santa Maria, Brazil. In 2013, she received a PhD in Arts from the University of Barcelona, Spain.
Her work has been featured in exhibitions internationally, including the Embassy of Brazil in Stockholm, Sweden; KORU6 Helsinki, Finland; Galerija ARgenTUM, Vilnius, Lithuania (2018); Ground Floor Gallery, NY, U.S.; The New York Latin American Art Triennial, NY, U.S.; and the Queens College Art Gallery, NY, U.S.
