Cluley Projects is pleased to announce their 4th annual open call for exhibition proposals in preparation for its 2025 season. The mission of Cluley Projects is to offer diverse programming, foster community, and uplift emerging artists. With these values in mind, our annual open call process has established an enriching opportunity for Texas-based creatives. This year will be the 4th iteration of the open call since it was established in 2021: previous recipients include Sarita Westrup, Jacquelin Zazueta, and Zak Ziebell.

To be eligible, artists must be 18 years or older living and working in the state of Texas, and without gallery representation. Gallery staff, artists associated with Erin Cluley Gallery, and artists who have already mounted a solo exhibition with Cluley Projects are ineligible to apply. No formal education is required, but we ask that applicants not be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program unless expected to finish by the end of the Spring 2025 semester. Anyone who submits an application that does not meet all requirements listed above will be marked as ineligible and will not be reviewed.

The gallery is accepting proposals for solo or collective exhibitions. All mediums are welcome, including but not limited to visual, installation, and performance art. Submissions must be sent through the open call portal. There is no fee to apply, and the deadline is 11:59 PM CST on Sunday, November 3, 2024.

Applicants will be notified on or by December 1, 2023. Please do not inquire on the status of the selection process – all applicants will be notified of their results by the above date. The winning proposal will receive a month-long slot in the summer 2025 exhibition schedule, an honorarium of $500, professional photographic documentation of the show, and mentorship as needed.
